Cleaning

For the past three weeks, I have slowly going through closets, cabinets, and the tons of clothes. The job has been tedious and frustrating. Seems the more I clean out, the worse the house looks! I have collected a dozen bags for Goodwill, many bags of garbage, and have several closets that are organized. Just sooooo much more to go through!!

My goal is to have everything completed by Feb. 18th. I have most of the upstairs done and have started working on the basement. We are have Chinese New Year on the 20th for the families we traveled with to China. So, guess I better get off here and get to work!

battle wounds...

Nate fell on Sunday and has a big bruise on his cheek. However, he looks like he has a battle zone on his face. He has been in my lipstick and eye liner again. He actually got into the lipstick three different times today. I am going to get a hanging basket to put it in. He looks like a mess.

Rachel is selling cookies for Scouts. Sold a bunch at church!

She has gained 6 pounds since her check-up in July. Now at about 37 pounds. Hopefully she'll continue to bulk up a little more. She another great report card. Continues to love and thrive a school.
Nate is not sleeping well again. Trying to get im into a routine. He is continues to be a good eater, plays hard, and is happy!

na-kid boy

About 2am I heard Nate call for me. I went into the room and there he was... sitting there with just his diaper. I put his PJ's back on him and put him in bed with me. He was restless the remaining of the night.

It is looking like we might get some snow tonight and early tomorrow. I would rather not have a day to make up. We'll have to see what happens.

brother and sister

Rachel and Nate have become close. They look out for each other and love spending time together. It has been so fun watching their bond strengthen. Sleeping has always been an issue for Nate. He wants to be near someone (actually ontop) when he sleeps. It was starting to cause sleeping issues for Rachel.

Last week we tried putting Rachel and Nate together in a big bed. WOW!! What an improvement. Everyone is sleeping better. We read a story or two and tuck them in and they are out! 8:00-7:30 or so. Hope it continues~ stay tuned...

2010

I started this new blog, for the New Year!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Rachel's program was wonderful. She introduced the program in front of the whole gym. We were both so proud of her! We went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop. Both kids sat in his lap. Got a great picture.

We spent 5 days at my Dad's. Everyone was there, so we stayed at a hotel. That worked out well for us. We'll probably do the same next year.

Things about the kids I want to remember: R- carrots are good for your pu-kals. Gotten a lot taller. Very helpful around the house. Takes good care of her brother and wants to teach him things. Loves her DS Lite and would play all day, if we'd let her. Other day I was wanting her to do something and she asked, "What are my options?" Loves to read and reads independently Junie B. Jones books. Is finally eating her veggies again. She quit eating them for about 3 weeks.
N- is such a happy boy! Grown a lot. Loves sleeping in a full bed with Rachel. They are both sleeping better. (well not tonight- both having hard time settling down). Is talking more clearly-2-3 word sentences. Loves his fish game! Followed his cousin Becca all over the place. Couldn't get enough of her. Likes to snuggle and give hugs. Is finally eating more protein.
